Celebrate winter in all its musical beauty with the Canadian Children's Opera Company in a concert that journeys through snow-covered landscapes, icy moods, and the warmth of togetherness. Centered around Sarah Quartel's Snow Angel-a moving exploration of love, resilience, and hope in difficult times-the program also features works by Lully, Fleet Foxes, Gordon Lightfoot, and familiar seasonal classics, each capturing a different facet of the snowy season through the sparkling voices of the CCOC. Song for a Winter's Day (3:30 pm): In this relaxed performance for all ages, the full company, from the youngest Butterfly Chorus to the Young Artist Studio, explores the fun, beauty, and warmth of winter through a child's eyes. Song for a Winter's Night (7:00 pm): Our Intermediate Chorus, Principal Chorus, and Young Artist Studio take you on a journey through the darkness of winter into hope in this more reflective performance.
